I was reading an article about Carolina, the girl who was missing for 23 years. She was taken away at birth by a stranger when she was 19 days old. Her grandmother said, I knew she would come home one day. Her grandmother expressed she never gave up hope. Apparently, Carolina found her way back home after 23 year.
This story made me think about another story in Napoleon Hill’s book called “Think and Grow Rich”. Napoleon’s son, Blair, was born without ears, without any normal hearing organs at all. Blair’s doctors informed Napoleon that he would never be able to hear nor speak. However, he grew up to hear and speak normally.
Throughout Blair’s life, Napoleon had a burning desire, a strong feeling of hope that his son would be able to hear. Every day he affirmed in his thoughts, his son would be able to hear. He never accepted the words from the doctors that his son would not hear.
In both these stories Napoleon and Carolina’s grandmother seemed to have a strong feeling of hope, backed up by Faith.
Faith is believing in something of a higher nature, even when the outlook appears to be dim. It is having the willpower to believe in something that far exceeds your expectations; it is believing in a higher source and a higher way to channel energy into current happenings and events.
Sometimes, because of one’s perceived detrimental state of the world and surroundings, one can easily lose sight, or lose faith of what we believe in. Faith is having an energetic disposition that helps you go forward and helps you believe in what is it that you want to aspire or innately believe.
Even though Napoleons son’s doctor told him that his son would never hear, he maintained faith transcended through time. I know we can’t control another person’s destiny, as it is separate from our own. However, I think there is power in seeing, feeling and thinking the best about ourselves and others around us. This energetically creates a space of Love for ourselves and others and increases our Faith.
By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. Hebrews 11:3
